WHERE: Palmetto State Park
COST: There is no cost for this event, but all families registering must be current on registration & dues. Sign up using the link below.
ABOUT: Palmetto State Park is a beautiful small state park just outside of Gonzales, named after the dwarf palmettos common to the area. We will be staying at the group campsite, with parking nearby. More details will be sent out as we get closer with regards to planned activities and anything scouts might want/need to bring.
FACILITIES: Water is available at the campsite but no electricity, so please plan accordingly. The closest restroom has showers but it is across a low water crossing, so in the event of significant rainfall it may not be readily accessible. There is a second restroom on the same side of the river as our campsite, but it does not have a shower.
COVID PROTOCOLS: In the interest of keeping all scouts safe, we will not be offering meals at this event. Families will need to plan their own meals and plan to eat as a family. A limited number of stoves and other items are available to be borrowed, please reach out to Mark for details. All scouts must either tent with a sibling or with their family for this event, no exceptions. Small tents can be borrowed if requested in advance. All attendees must be masked at all times unless they are in their personal tent or eating/drinking.
